28 years of building to the line.
We started with one crew and a flatbed. Today we deliver some of the most complex work in the Mountain West — with the same belief that the way you build is the work.

A general contractor that still thinks like a trade.
Meridian began in 1998 as a self-perform concrete contractor in Denver. We poured other builders' foundations for six years before we ever ran a project of our own — and that apprenticeship is still in everything we do.
Because we came up placing the structure, we never stopped. Our crews still self-perform the concrete and steel on the critical path, which means the most important scope on your job is built by people who answer to us, not to a subcontractor's margin.
Meridian Build Group is a general contractor and construction manager delivering commercial, civil, and industrial projects across the Mountain West. Since 1998 we have set the line and built to it. The work has grown from slabs to 28-story towers and 24-MGD water plants. The standard hasn't moved.
Four commitments, on every job, without exception.
Set the line, then build to it
We commit to a number and a date in pre-construction, and we hold them. Surprises get surfaced early, not buried until they cost more.
Self-perform the critical path
We put our own crews on the structural work that decides the schedule. The most important scope is never subcontracted out of our control.
Safety is non-negotiable
Every person on every site has the authority to stop work. A 0.51 EMR is not a marketing number — it is how we run the job.
The relationship outlasts the project
94% of our work is for clients who have built with us before. We hand over a clean record and stay accountable long after substantial completion.
Set the line in 1998. Still building to it.

Most of them came up through Meridian.
Our senior team has spent a combined century on Meridian sites. They know the work because they have done the work.
Raymond Okafor
Founder & Chief Executive
Started Meridian with one crew and a flatbed. Still walks every active site at least once a month and reads every incident report personally.
Lena Sorensen
President & COO
Runs operations across all three regions. Built the pre-construction discipline that lets Meridian commit to a number and hold it.
Daniel Marsh
EVP, Field Operations
Came up through the trades to superintendent to the field's most senior seat. Owns the schedule and the people who build it.
Aisha Karim
VP, Pre-Construction
Leads estimating and design-assist. If the budget is going to move, she finds out in week three, not month nine.
Victor Reyes
Director of Safety
Architect of the safety program behind a 0.51 EMR. Holds the authority to stop any job, on any site, at any time.
Grace Tomlin
VP, Civil & Infrastructure
Heavy-civil and water specialist. Leads the work where tolerances are tight and inspection never stops.
A 0.51 EMR is not a slogan. It is how we run the site.
Every person on every Meridian site carries the authority to stop any job, at any time, for any safety reason — no permission required and no questions asked afterward. That rule, more than any other, is why our experience modifier sits at less than half the industry baseline.
Build with a contractor that holds the line.
Tell us about your project. We'll show you how the standard shows up from the first estimate to the final walk.
